Be it an emergent trauma or a long pending joint replacement. Dr.Prashanth's expertise has you covered. After completing his MBBS from NRI Medical College and General Hospital in Vijayawada, AP. Dr. Prashanth pursued his MS(Ortho) from the same institute. Following this, he also worked as a Senior Resident in Orthopedic Surgery in Siddhartha Medical College & General Hospital, Vijayawada. With an unabashed passion for best-in-class orthopedic surgery, Dr.Prashanth further completed his Fellowship in Trauma, Limb & Reconstructive surgery FROM GANGA Hospital in Coimbatore and then a Fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports medicine from Ortho One Hospital in Coimbatore. He is currently working as a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Aster-Ramesh hospitals in Guntur & Vijayawada in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

HAND ON PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Trauma experience

  1. Performed over 2000 cases such as Hemiarthroplasty, Humerus plating, Fore arm fractures, Distal radius fractures, IT fractures, Bimalleolar fractures, Open Fractures with bone loss as well as Pelvi acetabulum trauma
  2. Well experienced in Proximal & distal tibia fractures in MIPPO, Distal femur, Proximal Humerus and Elbow fractures.
  3. Very comfortable and can independently perform all trauma cases
  4. Well versed with Emergency external fixations and open injuries management
  5. Well versed with LRS system, hybrid external fixators
  6. Experienced with neglected trauma, non unions& malunions

Arthroscopy & sports medicine experience -

  1. Can independently perform all knee and shoulder arthroscopy cases.
  2. Well versed with knee ACL, PCL, PLC, MCL, multi ligament reconstructions and meniscal repairs
  3. Well versed with shoulder procedures like Bankarts repair , arthroscopy and open cuff repair, Latarjet procedure.
  4. Experienced with sports medicine cases & Sports Rehab.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  1. Establishing proficiency in and around Vijayawada and Guntur with respect to Arthroscopy, sports medicine, complex and neglected trauma surgery. Result oriented, cost effective medical and surgical management.
